What to do in an emergency

Aktualisiert: 25. September 2026 · Lesezeit 1 Min.

1. Call 112

In an emergency, call 112 first, before anything else. 112 is the European emergency number.

Tell them where you are. The exact address of the home is in the For your stay panel beside your conversation with the host in Messages.

2. Tell your host

Once you are safe, let your host know what has happened. Write to them in Messages, or call them. The host's phone number is in the For your stay panel once your booking is confirmed, unless the host hasn't given one.

Your host knows the home and the area, and may be able to help with what comes next.

3. Tell us

When you can, write to us through Contact and choose A booking I have. Give your booking code (SPT- followed by six characters) or the home and dates, and tell us briefly what happened. You can attach up to 3 photos or PDFs.

For problems at the home that aren't emergencies, see Something is wrong at the home.

Save the exact address of the home on your phone before you travel, so you can give it quickly if you ever need to.
