How do I get paid?

On Spitio, guests pay you directly. Card payments go straight into your own Stripe account and on to your bank, and Spitio takes nothing from the booking. Stripe is Spitio's payment provider.

Guests can book your homes only once payouts are set up. Until then your listings say "Not taking bookings yet", and a home can't go live.

Set up payouts

1. Go to Host → Payouts.
2. Press Set up payouts · about 5 minutes. Renting out as a company? Press Set up payouts for a company instead.
3. Stripe asks who gets paid, your bank account (IBAN) and a photo of your ID card or passport. You enter them with Stripe, not with Spitio. Stripe's form is in Greek or English.

Have your ID, your IBAN and your mobile phone ready (Stripe sends a one-time code by SMS).

What the Payouts page shows

• Not set up: you haven't finished Stripe's form yet. Press the button to start or carry on.
• Checking: Stripe is checking your details. This usually takes a few minutes, sometimes up to a day. We email you when it's done.
• Action needed: Stripe needs one more thing, for example the back of your ID card. The page says what is missing; press Continue with Stripe to add it.
• Ready: guests can book and pay you by card. The page shows the money on its way to your bank, what was paid out this month and your last payouts.

While payouts need your attention, the Payouts item in the menu has a small yellow dot.

How the money reaches you

• The guest pays the full amount by card: straight away with instant booking, or from their booking page after you accept a request.
• The payment is made on your own Stripe account. Stripe's card fee comes out of each payment; Spitio adds no fee and there is no monthly fee.

• Spitio sends each booking's money to your bank the day after the guest checks out (at the latest 85 days after they pay). Until then it waits in your Stripe account, so a refund or a change can still be paid from it.
• Host → Payouts shows every booking with "Held until" or "Released" and the date.

To change your bank account, press Update bank details. To see every payment in detail, press Open Stripe.
