What gets a home flagged?

Aktualisiert: 25. September 2026 · Lesezeit 1 Min.

Homes on Spitio go live without an approval step. Instead, Spitio checks them automatically and flags anything odd for our team. There are three kinds of flag.

The three flags

  • Contact details found. A phone number, e-mail address, link or messaging-app name in your title, description or house rules. The text is hidden from guests straight away, and our team clears the flag once they have looked at it. See Why can't my listing show contact details?
  • AMA number not 11 digits. Your ΑΜΑ number has the wrong format when you save, or when you try to publish. The flag clears by itself when you save a valid 11-digit number. See The AMA registration number.
  • Subscription payment failed. Your subscription payment didn't go through. Every live home gets this flag, and it clears by itself once the plan is paid.

What a flag does

A flag on its own doesn't take your home offline. It tells our team to have a look.

The problems behind two of the flags do have their own effects, though:

Reports from guests

Signed-in guests can also report a listing, for example if it doesn't seem to be a real home, or it asks them to pay outside Spitio. Our team looks at each report.

Spitio's team can also pause a home when needed.

To avoid flags, keep contact details out of your listing, enter the ΑΜΑ number as 11 digits, and keep your card up to date.
