Connect Spitio to Hosthub
Updated 13 October 2026 · 2 min readYou connect Hosthub once for your whole account, then link each Hosthub rental to the Spitio home it is.
1. Create an API key in Hosthub
In Hosthub, go to Settings → API Keys → Create new API key and copy the key.
2. Paste it on Spitio
Go to Host → Settings → Connections, paste the key into Hosthub API key and press Connect. Spitio checks the key with Hosthub before saving it. Once it is accepted, you see "Hosthub is connected. Link your rentals to your Spitio homes below."
3. Link each rental to a home
Your Hosthub rentals are listed under the key. For each one, choose the Spitio home it is and press Save. A home can be linked to one rental only; a home already in use shows which rental it is linked to.
Spitio then reads the rental's calendar straight away, and turns on two switches for that home:
- Use Hosthub prices, if the rental is priced in euros and Hosthub sends at least one price of €10 or more.
- Send Spitio bookings and blocked days to Hosthub, if the rental has one unit.
The message after Save tells you which came on. If one stayed off, it says why. You can switch either on or off later, here or on the home's Pricing and Calendar pages.
4. Check your iCal links
If you used iCal links with Hosthub before:
- On Spitio, remove the Hosthub calendar from the home's Calendar page, or the same booking appears twice.
- In Hosthub, you can keep Spitio's calendar link. It only lists what Spitio hasn't sent to Hosthub yet, so nothing appears twice. See Spitio bookings in your Hosthub calendar.
Spitio reminds you on the Hosthub card if it still sees a Hosthub calendar on the home's Calendar page.
