When does my home go live?
Updated 30 September 2026 · 2 min readSpitio has no approval step. Nobody needs to review your listing first. Your home goes live the moment you press Publish listing (or Publish free), as long as two things are true: the listing is complete, and a card is saved for your plan. Nothing is charged until your first booking.
The checks
Before a home can go live, it needs:
- a title of at least 8 characters and a description of at least 120
- the street address, region and town
- the property type, and whether guests get the whole place or a room
- at least one category
- the number of guests, bedrooms, beds and bathrooms, and the size
- a nightly price
- at least 5 photos
- a valid 11-digit ΑΜΑ number
- payouts set up: Stripe has checked your details on the Payouts page, so guests can book and pay you (How do I get paid?)
If something is missing, the form tells you what to fix.
If no card is saved yet
Your home is saved and waits. You are taken to Subscription, which says: "Your home is saved. Save a card below to publish it: publishing is free, and nothing is charged until your first booking."
Once your card is saved, the homes that are waiting go live by themselves.
Adding or pausing homes later
Before your first booking, publishing more homes is one click and free. Once your plan runs (from your first booking), you can put another home live whenever you like: your plan grows to cover it, you pay for the days left in the period, and you see the amount before you confirm. There is no limit on the number of homes.
To take a home off Spitio, open it from Host → Homes and press Pause this listing. Your plan shrinks to match. To bring it back, press Put it back on Spitio.
Either way, Stripe settles the difference on your next invoice.
