The AMA registration number
Updated 25 September 2026 · 1 min readThe ΑΜΑ (Αριθμός Μητρώου Ακινήτου) is your home's number in the Greek short-term rental registry. Greek law requires it, and Spitio needs it before your home can go live.
You get the number when you register the home in the registry. Each home has its own number, so make sure you enter the one for this home.
What it looks like
The ΑΜΑ number is exactly 11 digits, including any zeros at the start. For example: 00002514442.
- Spaces, dashes and dots are removed for you, so 0000 251 4442 works too.
- Letters are not accepted.
- Keep the leading zeros. 2514442 on its own is too short.
Where to enter it
The number goes in the last step of the listing form, ΑΜΑ registry number. You can add or change it later by opening the home from Host → Homes.
Once your home is live, the number is shown on the listing as "Registration (ΑΜΑ)".
If the number is wrong
If the number isn't 11 digits, you see: "The AMA number should be 11 digits, e.g. 00002514442".
- You can still save the home as a draft.
- Spitio won't publish it until the number is fixed.
- Our team also sees a check on the home. It clears by itself once you save a valid number.
Spitio only checks the format of the number. It is up to you to make sure it is the right number for this home.
