Receipts for your stay
Updated 25 September 2026 · 1 min readThe payment e-mail
Once your payment goes through, Spitio sends you an e-mail whose subject starts with "Paid:", followed by the home and your dates. It shows:
- the amount you paid, with taxes included and no service fee
- the home, your dates, the number of nights and guests
- your rate and its cancellation line, for example "Refundable rate · Free cancellation until 5 Oct 2026, 23:59 Greek time"
It ends with a See your booking button.
Your booking page
Your booking page shows your booking reference (SPT- followed by six characters), your dates, the number of guests, the amount paid and your rate. You can open it in two ways:
- from the link in your booking e-mails, with or without an account
- from Trips → Receipt and details, once the stay is over
The booking reference is handy whenever you write to us about a stay.
Your card statement
You pay the host directly, through the host's own account with Stripe, our payment provider. So your card statement shows the payment to the host's business, not to Spitio. Spitio takes no fee.
Stripe may also e-mail you its own receipt from the host's Stripe account. Whether it does depends on how the host's Stripe account is set up.
