Photos: the rules and a few tips

Photos are the first thing guests look at. Spitio has only a few rules for them, and a few tips can make a big difference.

The rules

You add photos in the Photos step of the listing form. You can drag them in, and change them later by opening the home from Host → Homes.

These are suggestions, not rules.

Shoot in daylight. Open the shutters, and turn the lights on in rooms that get little sun.
Show every room guests will use, including the bathrooms and the kitchen.
Show the view if you have one, from the terrace, the balcony or the bedroom.
Show what your categories promise. If your home is listed under pool, sea view or parking, make sure a photo shows the pool, the view or the parking space.
Choose your cover with care. It is the one photo every guest sees in search results, so pick your strongest.

After their stay, guests can rate the home for accuracy. Photos that match what guests find on arrival help your reviews.

Use Move earlier and Move later on each photo to put your best one first.
