Spitio bookings in your Hosthub calendar
Updated 13 October 2026 · 2 min readThe switch is Send Spitio bookings and blocked days to Hosthub. It is under each linked rental in Settings and in the home's Hosthub row on the Calendar page. It comes on when you link a rental with one unit.
What Spitio creates in Hosthub
- Each confirmed Spitio booking, as a booking with the guest's name, the number of adults and children, check-in and check-out times from your house rules, and the amounts in euros: the stay, cleaning, taxes and what the guest paid. Its reservation number starts with SPITIO- and its note says "Booked on Spitio". The guest's e-mail and phone are never sent.
- Each stretch of days you block on Spitio, as a hold called Blocked on Spitio.
Hosthub then closes those nights on your other channels. Dates are sent from today up to about 18 months ahead.
How they look in Hosthub
Hosthub shows each Spitio booking as a direct booking, with the guest's name, the amounts, a reservation number starting with SPITIO- and the note "Booked on Spitio" ("Added by the host on Spitio" for a stay you added by hand). Hosthub lets a channel such as Spitio be set only on bookings in the past, so they can't carry the Spitio name or logo.
If Spitio's calendar link is also connected in Hosthub, you can keep it: it only lists what Spitio hasn't sent yet, so each booking shows once.
When it is sent
Straight after anything changes on Spitio: a new booking, a cancellation, new dates, a block or an unblock. Every 5 minutes Spitio also checks that Hosthub still has everything, and sends what is missing.
Changes and cancellations
- New dates on a Spitio booking move the same booking in Hosthub.
- A cancelled booking or an unblocked day is removed from Hosthub.
- If you delete one of these by hand in Hosthub, Spitio adds it again while it still stands on Spitio.
- Stays that have ended stay in Hosthub as history.
Turning it off
Turn the switch off, set the rental to Not linked, or disconnect Hosthub, and Spitio removes from Hosthub the bookings and blocked days it had created. If it can't remove some, the card says how many. Delete them in Hosthub: they are called Blocked on Spitio or have a reservation number starting with SPITIO-.
