How reviews work
Updated 25 September 2026 · 1 min readWho can review, and when
You can review a stay once it was confirmed and your check-out day has come. You have 14 days from check-out. We e-mail you an invitation, but you can also start from Trips → Write a review.
You need a Spitio account tied to the booking. If you booked without one, sign in or create an account with the same e-mail you booked with, and the booking is attached.
What you write
- an overall rating from 1 to 5 stars, from Poor to Excellent (this one is required)
- optional ratings for Cleanliness, Accuracy, Check-in, Communication, Location and Value
- a public review, up to 1000 characters
- a private note to the host, which is never published
- tags and a local tip, if you like (see Tags and local tips)
Press Save for later to keep a draft and finish it within the 14 days. Once you submit a review, you can't edit it.
When reviews appear
Reviews are published together: as soon as you and your host have both written one, or when the 14 days are over. Neither side sees the other's review first. After your review is published, the host can post one public reply to it.
The host's review of you
Hosts review guests too, with their own ratings. These reviews are never public. Other hosts see them only when you ask to book with them.
